Plane Tickets Purchased
I decided to create this blog in order to keep my family and friends updated on my trip to Ecuador this Spring. Instead of sending out individual emails periodically, I will instead be keeping everyone in the loop of my travels by posting here. So enjoy...
Last week this trip became official with the purchase of my plane ticket. I will be leaving on January 2, with an approximate return of March 26. For the first week of my trip, my mom will be flying in with me and we will be touring the Andean mountains. On January 11 my mom will fly home and my friend Keta arrive in Quito and join me for the remainder of the trip.
I plan on spending those three months kayaking, learning spanish and immersing myself in the Ecuadorian culture. I would like to learn to salsa dance and go surf kayaking at the beach. I plan on traveling to Peru to see Machu Pichu and observe monkeys in the jungle. It is bound to be one exciting journey!
*In case any of you don't know, Ecuador is a country the size of Colorado and is located in South America. It borders Columbia and Peru.
